Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know so you can use Track Facts like a pro.

+ There are so many data fields in the car profile. It appears overwhelming. Is there a simple way to use Track Facts?

You are required to name your car profile and name your session, all other data fields are optional.

+ My favorite track runs CW, CCW and different configurations. How do I record that in Track Facts?

There is a notes field just below track selection when you begin logging session data. Entering things like that work well there.

+ I have a favorite track I go to often. Will Track Facts tell me what I did the last time I visited that track?

YES! Track Facts keeps a complete history of all the session data you record. You can view it or export a formatted email with all the car profile and session data.

+ I don’t normally record tire temps, can I still use Track Facts?

When logging session data, the session has to be named. All other data fields when logging session data is optional.

+ I use Nitrogen in my tires, how do I record that?

The tire section has a notes field in both the car profile and the tire section when logging session data. Any type of tire notes can be put there. All track facts reports will show you note fields.

+ The race team I work with often has a requirement to take tire temps & PSI at different times in a practice session. How do I handle that?

In that instance, you would be best served by generating a session name for each interval that the team is planning. It is not possible to record multiple tire temps & PSI in the same session. Please note that when you create a new session, Track Facts automatically assigns a time of day to the session. You will know exactly when those temps & PSI’s were taken if you create a new session.

+ I am not a racer, but I do go to the track on a regular basis. Can Track Facts help me?

There are only 2 mandatory fields in Track Facts. The car name & the session name. You will have complete flexibility in tracking or recording any number of details about your car or your driving sessions. Track Facts has notes fields through the application. Just logging notes, you might find helpful. You might also find the receipts section helpful in knowing what you spend on your favorite pastime.

+ I have more than one car can Track Facts handle that?

Yes, you now have the option of recording car profile information on any number of cars you like.

+ I can't find my track, it's not in your listings. What should I do?

Option 1: If you scroll to the bottom of your state's track list, you will see a selection "Other" by selecting "Other" the app will take you to the data field "Track Name" and you will be able to enter the name of your track. That name will always appear in your track list.

Option 2: The track name data field is a free form field. You have the option of editing it anytime you want. However, typing over the name of a track you plan on racing at would then remove that track name from your track list.
